ENILOLOBO CAMP ALSO MAKES A MARKED PRESENCE
It was a mamoth crowd of the All Progressives Congress (APC) members from Alimosho that thronged Tafawa Balewa on Sunday, May 10, venue of the "Special Congregational Prayer and Endorsement for Tinubu, Hamzat" for 2027 General Elections.
The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon Ibrahim Akinpelu Johnson, led the Alimosho attendance as his Egbe-Idimu counterpart believed to belong in the organizing camp was conspicuously absent and made no visible mark of representative presence. On the other hand, the orange cap identity of the Enilolobo camp was markedly seen in attendance with their new slogan: "Datiemo!".
The event was organised by the Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC), an allied Independent Campaign Group led by the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon Abiodun Faleke, now a GAC member. From knowledge of the body's inauguration sometimes in 2025, it is made up of the Justice Forum (JF) and The Mandate Movement Group (TMMG) led by Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo.

In attendance at the event were members of the State Cabinet led by the Executive Governor, Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu; members of the prestigious Lagos Progressives' elite club in charge of the partisan and governance affairs of the State, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), led by the Chairman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi; members of the State Working Committee of the party led by the State Chairman, Hon Cornelius Ojelabi; members of the State Council of Obas, captains of industries; and bodies of the Islamic and Christian clerics.
The Alimosho delegates, led by Hon Akin Johnson of the Justice Forum, arrived very early at the venue adorning a three-colour cap identities of sky-blue, red and Arsh/orange. The Alimosho Chairman, who arrived in company with the APC Party Chairman for Agbado/Okeodo, Alhaji Mukaila, was later joined by the Executive Vice Chairman of Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, Hon Oluwaloni (aka Olo 1). The team-lead was seen amidst his people as the Alimosho corridor maintained a bubbling and relative mood while the event last.
The event was convened as a twin programme of State prayer and party endorsement of consensus candidates for the president and state governor in the approaching elections. The special prayers, conducted in line with the secular nature of Nigerian State made with inclusive recognition of the prominent religions, was for continued God's guidance on the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the prospective next Governor of the State, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, who doubles as the current Deputy Governor of the Stare.
This followed the formal declaration of the Justice Forum group to adopt President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its endorsed APC Presidential Candidate and Dr. Hamzat as the Gorvernorship Candidate.
Taking to his X-handle, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his joy for the success of the event with thanks to the organizers. He reiterated the promise that Lagos would continue to be a place that "works" for everyone's prosperity.
Arrival of Enilolobo camp
He said: "It was an honour to join party leaders and supporters today at the Special Congregational Prayer held for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. My heartfelt appreciation goes to everyone who came out in peace, unity, and support. Together, we will continue to move Lagos forward and ensure it works for every resident".
